A question about metal braces

#1 Post by CatJackson »

I'm trying to find some info and a question would anyone know, would it be safe to wear metal braces again that it wouldn't cause having seizures? I used to wear braces years ago during my mid teens. And around during that time some time later I was diagnosed with having partial seizures. (There was a name for it I can't remember) I'm not sure if it was caused by me having the metal braces or if, as I had a bike head injury years ago before I had braces on. I'm taking controlled medication for it. I've been reading online that it can possibly trigger seizures. I'm still deciding to go ahead with treatment and this came to my mind.

Can't say I've ever heard of braces triggering seizures. The most common problem people have is an allergic reaction to the nickel used. (That said, it still isn't that common.)
