Ortho says I'll get my braces off in April but I still have overbite and overjet?

Have any of you had this happen? I have not had any rubber bands or anything like that to help close it.

It has happened to me. I ended up needing braces again and "the big show" (double surgery) years later. Not saying either or which will happen to you, but because I was too young to be more proactive in my care and start by asking what the deal was, I paid the price... for life.

My advice would be to speak with the orthodontist your concerns about your overjet. My records show I never had treatment for mine. I also remember never having things like rubber bands or appliances. I don't know what is indicated in your case, but it is at least worth discussing it with your ortho. Depending on what they say, you can go from there. GL

Some amount of overjet is preferred. If your teeth were edge to edge all the time, you'd break them.
