Request for early braces removal... advice? help?!

I agree with the sentiments of others. Italy isn't exactly a 3rd world country, they will have care available, but I guess it may be more costly as you'd be paying twice.

I see you're in the USA, shame! If you were in the UK a cheap flight back would only be about £50, you could come for a week, have a checkup, and go back!

I guess it's just bad timing. Whatever you decide, only you know best, so good luck :) I'm sure if you did leave them on, you could get treatment if you needed it, but I would talk about it with your dentist, find out what the risks each way are, and then make a decision.

i am not sure if this forum is still active but if it is i would like to know what you decided to do?
i am in the same situation ,i will be studing in germany for 4 months next year and i have already had my braces on for little over a year so i am just wondering if it is better to leave them on until the treatment is done or to have them removed before i leave (27/4/17) ?
i would like to hear your advice seeing as you have been through the same thing

4 months is not that much longer of an interval between visits. Most of my visits have been 6-7 weeks apart. I would lean toward keeping them on during that time.
