Both of my front upper incisors have vertical cracks their entire length after having my (ceramic) brackets debonded. My teeth certainly didn't have these prior to braces. I have attached a picture of one to illustrate but both have a similar crack. The cracks appear as if they are quite deep (not just on the surface).
These are the two most visible teeth when you smile so I'm not too impressed. I suspect people don't usually have this damage post braces? Do you think that the ortho has liability for this or cosmetic treatment to rectify it? My ortho didn't say anything about them.

These are called "craze lines" and I got them after having braces removed the first time. No advice for you (sorry!) but unfortunately I believe this is very common occurrence for braces and non braces wearers
