Power chain's pain in my molars!

#1 Post by Samahir »

Today was my first adjustment after I got 4 premolars extracted 4 weeks ago. They applied power chains to both my upper and lower arches. My brackets extend back to the 1st molars only. So after the adjustment, I mainly feel the pain from the power chains in my back teeth (the 2nd premolar and the 1st molar)
Does this mean that I will have the movement in the back teeth instead of the front teeth? I have bimaxillary protrusion and I need all the extraction space for my front teeth to move back into, in order to have the protrusion corrected. I'm worried! Has anyone experienced this before?

I think your molars will move forward and the front teeth will move backwards to close the gap. Overtime I have a question my ortho always reiterates that it's always an equal and opposite reaction.
