Front teeth hurting again

#1 Post by oldperson »

So i got braces about 4 weeks ago now, and after week two i was back to normal with eating with no pain, although just recently my front two incisors on the top have started hurting again, really badly. Is there a reason behind this or is it normal and a sign the teeth are moving?

Based only on my experience I would say it is normal -- I had intermittent pain/discomfort at various points in the cycle between adjustments. However, if in doubt, give your ortho a call for reassurance.
It's another of those cruel tricks in orthodontics. You get a new wire/powerchain, experience discomfort for a few days following, and then thing you're in the clear for smooth sailing until the next visit.                 .
Pardon me, lost my mind for a minute.
Seriously though, just give your ortho a quick call. Best of luck to you!
