9 Weeks Progress!

#1 Post by nightowl12 »

I went to my ortho for my first adjustment/tightening yesterday. He and all the assistants were very impressed with the progress of my teeth! I knew they were moving but I guess they've moved more than I thought. When I first got them on I remember staring at my teeth in the mirror and didn't notice much of a difference. It's exciting that they were all amazed at how quickly things moved! :D

I go back in 7 weeks and they'll put "chains" on my four front teeth, which I assume are powerchains. I've read a lot of posts from people who say that they hurt, what's everyone's personal experience with them?

It's a bit early, but your progress seems to be very nice.
About the powerchains, I had double powerchains on both jaws during 26 months, so during nearly all my treatment, coupled with class II elastics.
It hurts a lot in the beginning, but you will accustom to them after 2 weeks of treatment.
