My two front teeth aren't the same size?

#1 Post by chrislee »

I got my braces January 4th, 2016. today is January 15th. After looking in the mirror today, I noticed that my front teeth weren't the same size anymore. my right front tooth is now shorter than the left front. not only this, there is a slight, but not very noticeable gap between now. I'm thinking that this movement is part of the process(I hope). I have Damon braces if that has to do with anything. thank you so much for your time!

They will probably shave one down when you get them off if it doesn't get better with time

I had that happen to my two front teeth also, I'm thinking it's kinda common. So my ortho put a bend in the wire to bring the shorter one down a bit to match the other one. I'm still going to need a little contouring in the end to make it perfect though. But I suggest mentioning it to your ortho at your next adjustment so it can be addressed at some point.

You're 2 weeks in to a treatment process that can take years. There's plenty of time to fix that. Mention your concerns to your ortho and things will be ok.
Round 3 (lifetime) Damon stainless applied 3/16/20 (after 4 weeks attempting invisalign) On for about 18 months
Night time elastics with invisalign retainers; still...
Double jaw surgery was 6/18/15...
Orthodontics never really ends...
I'm emphatically against extraction orthodontics!
