Orthos use a shorthand numbering teeth one through eight on each side. The central incisor is #1, the third molar is then #8. As for a "77", and I'm making an educated guess on this based on some limited experience, that they will put a power chain from your second molar on the left all the way to the second molar on the right, connecting tooth 7 to the other tooth tooth 7, hence "77". Just a guess though.
Lower braces on March 11, 2015, upper braces added July 14, 2015.
Damon, metal bottom / clear top.
Braces off March 26, 2018: Total time in braces: 3 years, 2 weeks and 1 day.
Hawley retainers top and bottom.

Prometheus is right on about the numbering system. I bet the assistant said "seven to seven" though. Could mean a power chain, more likely could mean bracketing and joining your second molars to the archwire if they're not already.

When my ortho uses the term when he is talking about power chain placement in my particular case.
Shoot I thought I was going to be able to zoom in here and actually answer a technical question
