Hey brace face friends! Just have been reading through the forums a lot lately and it seems like quite a few people are getting their braces off this December or January.
Just thought it'd be cool to get a list of everyone who is being de-braced in the next few weeks or couple months Nov-Dec-Jan.
I was supposed to get mine off Dec 9th 2014 (15 months) it's looking like it'll be more like 16-18 months total now.
If you are getting your braces off soon, post about it here !
Me! Appointment is on 10th December, collecting my retainers on the 17th. I'll only be getting my top arch off though but it's still something to look forward to! Can't wait!
Can I join in??!! Could have got them off in two weeks but will end up getting them off first week in Jan. I wanted to start 2015 with a major milestone so decided to wait a bit. It's been 2 years 9 months. Original estimate was 15-18 but really 18-24 was what every other ortho I went to said. Glad I was quoted a shorter time though as I know I wouldn't have started treatment otherwise. Last year was a total waste of time as the ortho didn't listen to my concerns and my teeth didn't improve. I switched in March this year and love my new ortho. He has sorted almost everything. My teeth won't be perfect but wow a huge improvement. I've been smiling a full brace smile since the summer as Ive gotten used to this new face and smile and I'm really proud of myself for doing it. I'm currently divorcing and my braces have given me so much confidence as I'll be facing the future as the best version of me!
Well done to us all!
This Friday! Dec 5th! Really excited. Pretty sure I won't sleep. I've had them on a little over 18 months (pushed back a couple appts when I couldn't pay) and I was quoted for 18-22 months so I'm still right on time. I already have my bottom permanent bonded retainer and I'll pick up my essix for the top an hour or so after my initial deband appointment.
About 2 months ahead of schedule, having closed an open bite and put a midline back in the middle with lingual braces and no surgery - much better than we thought!
Not 100% about retention yet but sure I'll find out in due course...
