I agree, salad is a tough one. Actually I haven't found anything that is easy and that doesn't require immediate attention (brushing, flossing, waterpik).

I baked and tried kale chips for the first time last night. O-M-G (Maybe I'm being dramatic but it was that bad). I took a look in the mirror and was so glad I ate them when no one was around. Green pieces were everywhere. Even after rinsing, they were still there.

I find that using a water flosser really helps get that food out. I use my portable one a lot when I am out. It's a great investment.
07/14/14 - 4 spacers put in
07/25/14 - braces top and bottom put in minus 2 molar bands that they couldn't fit
9/11/14 - 2 spacers put in between the bottom back molars
9/19/14 - last 2 bottom molar bands in and all hooked up, new wire, started elastics too
10/14/14 - new square wire change and thick elastics
04/24/17 - braces removed!!!

I've learned that lettuce and sushi are two things that should only be eaten when home alone. I had sushi today-I think there were at least three bites of rice squirreled away above my upper wire when I finished. Not pretty....
Braces installed on March 25, 2014: Damon clears on top and metal on bottom.
I had braces for 25 months!

After eating sushi or even a salad I like to give my waterpik a little pep talk to make sure he is up to the task even if it takes two tanks of water to complete the mission.
What, that isn't normal? :-*
