Help me make sense of this.

#1 Post by Lopez »

I am currently on the 9th month of treatment and instead of noticing progression, it's been getting worse and worse since i started treatment. My doc has been consistently collapsing my right side whilst pulling the left side outwards, causing me extreme discomfort and pain and just overall awkwardness. I have talked to him several times about this issue but he ignores it and continues to mess my face up. Help.

Note: None of this was happening prior to getting my treatment.

Hi Lopez. I remember you posted your concern awhile back. Is your midline off, shifted to your right? If so, I'm wondering if your ortho is shifting everything to the left to compensate for this.

If you are that concerned about your treatment, and you don't feel your ortho is addressing your issues to your satisfaction, then I would suggest first speaking with the office manager, and second, perhaps getting a second opinion. You would need to take your records with you.

Good luck and keep us posted.

^^ he actually doesn't even acknowledge any type of off center bite or asymmetry. He always tells me things look normal and that i should not worry yet everything is anything but normal. How can i make him understand this issue that is bothering to no end?
