9 hours in and movement????

#1 Post by beckyboo0205 »

Ok 9 hours into my braces and is it possible to have movement ALREADY? As I was flossing tonight, there was this space between my big front tooth and the smaller one next to it that I noticed... I think they used to touch? It's the smallest gap but still surprised me... is that even possible!? ha

BTW, brushing and flossing is definately different! YO BOY! I think I drooled all over the place brushing and felt like a little kid learning how to brush my teeth. Maybe I was overthinking it? And apparently the upper left side is a challenge for me to floss (I'm right handed so I guess that's why) Totally weird.

Yup, I saw movement as fast as that. Once your teeth get loosened up, they can really move. Woo hoo!

I need my exact tooth to do exactly what yours did--and since I'm getting them off soon, I am sooooo encouraged to see that it can happen that fast!!

When I was at the ortho last week, the ortho did some stuff and then the assistant put everything all back together and goes--"Oh ya, I already see movement"-- Like in 5 minutes??? Uhhh ok!! I'll take it!!

Klobird, I'm waving my magic quick tooth moving powers over to you! ha

I haven't seen any other movement, but I was definately surprised to see that little bit so fast. I can't believe the dental asst. saw movement for you in 5 minutes! It's just weird!

Hey!

I'm with you all - I couldn't believe how fast they moved! I got my braces on today, and I have noticed already that my front two teeth that had a slight overlap have already moved some, and there's a new gap where there wasn't one before!

Best of luck!
