Question, if by the end of my treatment, my jaw asymmetry isn't fixed, will i be able to get surgery and NOT have to go through orthodontic treatment again?

I don't know the answer to that.

I think, though, that you may be pleasantly surprised.

I think its normal to worry about things as treatment goes on, i had times where i got slightly concerned about gaps forming in certain places etc but now over 12mths into treatment everything is looking really good! but then i havent ever doubted my ortho's credentials along the way so have been able to trust them all fully. My ortho also doesnt have the best ''bedside manner'' and always seems in a rush, very focussed on the progress and nothing else  but he also seems to know what he's doing. If your concerned that this ortho may not be doing things properly I'd try talking to the nurses! as they are usually more helpful and still have a tonne of knowledge. I think though things getting worse BEFORE they start to get better is normal, thats what i have been told :)
