Very concern about craze lines

#1 Post by Mirai404 »

Hey guys... Would appreciate any encouragement and advices. Thanks :)

Here is my situation. Currently I have 3m clarity self-ligating braces. From the previous appointment at my dental clinic, a craze line develop on my lateral incisor while the wired tried to push my lateral incisor to the front. I was very unhappy about it and called for an emergency appointment at my ortho. I think that my ortho has caused it due to negligience because there were not enough space for the tooth to move between the central and canine.

The orho did not observe any cracks but he said it could be craze lines. I was very very upset about the sensitivity that it had caused.

That aside, my lowers are still crowded and my ortho placed a powerchain on the six lowerr brackets to rotate a single tooth (I have premolar extractions).

Now I have major pain on a lateral incisor and new craze lines forming on my lower teeth.

Does braces cause craze lines?

I'm very concerned because I dont want to end up with straight but broken teeth. I'm reaching a year to my treatment and my ortho is accreditated with ten years of experience and a pHD in orthodontics. I wish to trust my ortho but so much has happened.

I want to seek another opinion from an ortho but my mom were very against it because my ortho is an assistant professor at the national university so he's quite reputable in the field. However, I find my ortho to be pretty careless at times and seems to be always in a rush.

He even misplaced a bracket on my lower central incisor causing it to be slant and taller. I talked to my ortho about it but he insist that it is not. I am very upset and stresse up with my state of teeth. I had so much confidence in him now my confidence has dramatically went down.

Any kind of advice would b appreciated :)

Im experiencing the same thing atm with my lateral incisor. Its under alot of pressure as it trying to get pushed between my right inscuisor and my canine, and this is causing a great deal of discomfort. It appears there is not enough room for it to fit, but my ortho said no IPR was needed. I have power chains on both top and bottom, and I dont know why my ortho is still using them as the gaps from my premolar extractions are long gone.

PS Im wearing suresmile wires
