I have pics, but need help!!

I have pics on my cell phone, that I would like to post,but when I get the little piece from the cell phone plugged into the computer what do I do?

Is there any user friendly way to explain it? I am a computer dodo bird!!

Hi Klo!

After you plug your phone into your computer, go to the "My Computer" icon on tour desktop and double-click that. You will see all the disk drives you have on your computer (hard drive, which is "C", along with any CD/DVD drive you may have), and you should also see your phone show up as another drive. Double-click your phone's drive and keep clicking until you get to your photos. Then all you have to do is "drag and drop" your pics to your computer (either to the desktop, or a folder that you've created). Put your cursor over the pic, click the left mouse button and drag it over to the desktop or folder.

Thanks Cat--I have a micro sandisk 4 GB in my cell phone. So, what do I do with it--how do I get the pics from the phone--or the sandisk--or wherever I get it from--to the computer. Like do I have to have some kind of driver or something--I don't even know what I'm talking about.

If no one answers, then I'm going to Radio Shack tomorrow to ask about it and get what I need--if I need something. I really want to put the pics up....

You just leave the Sandisk memory card in your phone. Your phone should have come with a cable; one end plugs into your phone where you charge it, and the other end plugs into the USB port on your computer. Then you follow the directions I stated above.

Good luck with Radio Shack. All the ones here are utterly useless.

Maybe I will just go over to Best Buy across from where I work. Ok, I get it now. If I got a cable with the phone, I didn't know what to do with it and have no idea where it is---I'm sure I can get one tomorrow. OK, this is going to work!!

Or you can just email the pics from your phone, to yourself. Then you don't need anything external.

My tiny phone memory card came with an adapter- Put the tiny card into the adapter and put it in the memory card slot on your computer. A box should pop up, choose your pictures (DSC), and then drag then onto your computer screen or into whatever folder you want.

OK Sev--I remembered that I do have the sandisk adaptor. Sooo, I got my sandisk into the adaptor and into the side of the computer. I scanned the pics. And then there was a link to view my pics in the folder I created for them. It's blank. I tried several times. What do you think I could be doing wrong?

Now, I'm determined to get this done!!

OK, so a guy at work told me that I have to copy the cell phone pictures to the micro sandisk. He did that for me.
Then, when I got home, I put the sandisk in the adaptor and the adaptor into the slot on the side of the computer
I went to my desktop and pressed on scanning pictures to a folder. So it brought up a wizard and I went through the process--copying to a "J-peg" ??. It says my pictures have been successfully scanned. Then there is a link to press to view the pictures. Still blank....

What am I missing here!!!

OK, so I just subscribed to the e-mail app. And I tried to e-mail my pics to me. Blank again. But at least I can get one of the techie guys at work to work it for me tomorrow.

Then the challenge will be to get the pics from my e-mail to wherever they go from there.

It's making me crazy. I really want to show how much the overjet has come in--it's amazing!

Catgyrl--your instructions are very user friendly--when I get a "drive" up it comes up as "G" so I click and click on it and it says "USB change has failed"--whatever that means. It also pops a whole lot of other notes up too--inferring that I am a real dumbell

I have no idea what I'm doing. I just hope I haven't messed anything up on my computer or my phone.
I even downloaded new hardware, or software, or something--who knows. .. . (I sure hope I didn't sign up for something I have to pay for!!! )

I gotta get someone here who knows what they're doing...these pics really show good progress, and I want everyone to see them to see what braces can do! Again-- !!!!!!!!!

Oh ya, my cell phone is---well, it won't let me say the name--but the service starts with a V and ends with an N. and the type of phone starts with a l and ends with a g and the type is octane (we'll see if the site accepts that!)....and when the "G" drive pops up it shows that--well by it's real name...whatever....This is wearing me out!!!
