Long story short, I got braces because my teeth were entirely off center due to a genetic deformity that caused my upper right lateral incisor to grow in on the BOTTOM. So I had an extra tooth on the bottom and one too few on top. Result: open bite that wouldonly really touch in the back, and totally off-center midline.
I wanted invisilign or iBraces but ended up with ceramics.
Tomorrow (1 year, 10 months later), I get my braces off.
Before picture:
Treatment plan called for an implant on top - a gap was created where my lateral incisor SHOULD have been. Also the extra on bottom was pulled and the gap closed.
I would need a bone graft for an implant and the $5000 ($3k with insurance) plus weird creepy unnatural surgery means I'm opting for a bridge instead (Yes, I know the pros/cons).
