"uneven" teeth...will the ortho fix this?

#1 Post by holyjoe »

What I mean by this is that some of my teeth are more "jagged" than others. I just want all of my teeth to be even.. well with the exception of my canines, it's expected that they are a bit sharper than the rest. But will my ortho sand my teeth down till they are smooth and even or what? I assume that he does this right after my braces come off? I will ask him about this at my next appointment but I'm just looking for some input in the meantime. If anyone could enlighten me on this subject, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

I believe that it will be done at the end of your treatment. Ask your ortho about it to see if that is something he or she will do for you.
I have just completed my treatment!!

My orthodontist said he would recountour my teeth after the braces are removed to make them look more even, but since I have some corners that are broken down he said I would need to get some bonding done at the dentist if I wanted that fixed.
