I've been braced for almost 2 years and never really had to approach my orthodontist regarding something so serious. Last Wednesday I went in to get my usual adjustment, she put a power chain on my upper teeth in the hopes of closing my upper gaps (left from pre-molar extractions). The thing is my upper incisors and now hitting my lower brackets and when this happens my molars in the back don't meet, which means I can't chew anything. This started on Friday as upper teeth moved backwards...
I never had to approach my orthodontist on something so serious; I have no idea how she's going to react really. I'm scared she might think it's something not so serious, because once I went there (like on a Emergency Appointment) when my power chain broke and she made me feel as if I was wasting her time and mine. But this time it's something more serious... I can't close my mouth properly and when I try the lower brackets hit the upper teeth and push them forwards, my jaw really hurts 'cause I haven't closed it properly in days. I've been walking around with toilet paper in the back on my mouth to keep it from closing...
I'm actually pretty mad that she didn't see this coming... And I don't see how she's going to fix this... except if she removes my lower brackets...
My lower teeth are probably ready but I'm not sure if they should settle down a little bit more.
She needs to fix tomorrow because I can't eat and live normally...
I've called the office today and told me to go there tomorrow between 8 and 12.
I'm really nervous... Any suggestions to how I should approach her?
Anyone been through this?
This is how my front teeth look like at the moment:

XOXO
