I'm a big weenie too although, apparently, I have a pretty high threshold for pain. If I think something should be hurting, I am the biggest baby on the planet but I can't tell you how many times I've been to the doctor for something random and they'll be like 'But what about this other thing!? HOW CAN YOU STAND TO LIVE WITH THE PAIN? WHY HAVEN'T YOU BEEN IN SOONER?' to which I reply: 'Muh-pain? What? Huh?'

So, judging from what everyone has said, I'm thinking I probably could go back to work the same day. But then again, a day off is always a nice thing. Maybe I'll burn a sick day on this just to treat myself nicely. Go shoe shopping. Have my hair done....

HRM!
I had my braces on for 2 years, 1 month, 2 weeks and 2 days.

Oh~ forgot to mention that I booked it for a Friday as well... BEST plan ever. That way I could either be at the mall, climbing or home in bed wallowing in the pain~ ha

Options are good :P

Now THAT sounds like a nice plan ;)
Seriously though, even if you're not physically hurting you do have some adjusting to go through so it might be nice to put yourself in a good mood and have some fun that day!

He he he,

You think you're a weenie I had a week off work!!!!

Admitedly I was owed some holiday so I thought why not. The 1st day did not hurt anyway, it was a couple of days later that my teeth felt strange not painfull though. I enjoyed my week off and by the time I went back to work I was hardly aware that I had braces on (until I had to eat - but that's a different story  )

Take as long as you need and enjoy yourself!!!
