I'm back- and with six WONDERFUL words in my ears!

#1 Post by greencapt »

Hey gang!

It's been WAY too long since I've updated here but promise I'm still taking pics (occasionally) and going along with the program. Newer folks here won't know me so please feel free to browse my story in the 'Braces Stories' section: viewtopic.php?t=5732.

Part of what has been keeping me busy is that my wife delivered our second child just over 2 weeks ago! Now I have a 19 month old girl and a 2 week old boy- a complete set! Whoo-Hoo!

But the best news in regard to my braces is that today I went for an adjustment and heard those six glorious words utter forth from my ortho's mouth... "We'll take them off next time."

Let me repeat because its music to my ears... "WE'LL TAKE THEM OFF NEXT TIME."

Man I like the sound of that!!! :D :D :D

So happy dances all around and much support to those who feel this road will never end for them- it will happen!

Thanks all! I'll get new pics up soon.

Now the main thing that's left is my ortho meeting with my regular dentist to figure out the best way to fill in the gaps that will remain. Right now they're talking about possibly a 'mini' implant for one upper and maybe a bridge for my wider, lower gap. I'm not too sure about the bridge because having spent all this time getting straightened out it would seem a shame to mess up teeth on either side of a bridge. But we'll see!
