hi, im 21, female, living in montreal --yes im a francophone! (canada) got ceramic braces one week ago, for the first time, there supposed to come off in about 10 to 12 months

21 female from Seattle and in braces for the first time!

Already have upper ceramics on and will be going in next Monday to get metals lowers put on since I've just extracted the needed teeth this Monday.

28 Female, Maryland .... first timer...

Lower Braces w/wire put on April 12 '07
Upper Braces w/o wire put on same date

One upper tooth pulled out April 24 '07

Upper Wires will be added on May 8 .....

still have lotsa canker sores ...

Ok 26 F, living in Los Angeles. First time wired, both upper and lower clears with 4 extractions on recommendation from first the oral surgeon, then the Ortho, which either have no connection because they don't know one another. Needing to correct my bite and severe crowding

ETA is 30 months. Bit into a taco for the first time in a month and a half since my mouth has been so sore from extractions and teeth being loosened. I miss having my shark-like smile with my crazy canines! Something I never thought I would miss.

I am a 33 year old male in Houston, Tx who got braces for the first time on 4-26-07 and I am not real happy about it right now, but I know it will get better and I will be glad I made the decision to do it.

Hi everyone! I'm 30, in the Philadelphia suburbs, and I just got braced on 4/4/07 - ceramic uppers and metal lowers.

I will tell you that this board kept me totally calm in the week leading up to getting my braces. I was a MESS!

Hello! I'm 19, currently studying at university in Edinburgh, Scotland. I had my lowers braced in June '05 (right before the big 18th lol) and the uppers in Jan '06!

Hopefully, I'll get them off in a week and a half...

I got my braces on 4-25-07 and turn 52 next month. This is my first time in braces. I have TMJ and my bite is so bad the dentist said I needed to fix that before treating the TMJ and more than likely the braces will help.

It will be interesting to monitor the progress.
