Gum Over Molar Band

#1 Post by Morena_Prncss »

Hello all! I'm fast approaching my 2 year mark and I've noticed an increasing amount of gum tissue migrating over one of my molar bands as well as in between my canine and the tooth behind (the one in front of the molar with the band). I know things move, adjust, swell, etc as gaps, especially from extractions, are getting close to their final positions. Since my molar band is attached to a TPA I do not believe they can remove and re-cement it without a big to-do. My question is before I make "the call" to the ortho, has anyone else experienced this and will it go away once I'm debanded? TIA for any and all input!
