Yep, I had the clear ligs at first that were dingy even after really watching what I eat so today after hearing nothing about good things on this site I asked for opaques and I must say they make the clear brackets look whiter. No more icky look!
So if you want your teeth to look really white get these!
I would if I could but I don't have a dig. camara!
I wonder if others have a pic?
These are also called the light silver ones as well.
Wondering if anyone who's had them, if they will change colors with different foods?
If your teeth are white they will look great.
(Wow, I thought my teeth were really white so now I really have to keep them their whitest with these ligs!
Are your ligs glow-in-the dark opaque? Mine are and I really like them. I think they blend very well with the braces and teeth.
By the way, I haven't seen them glow but read on a prior post about how you can see if they really glow - it would be nice if it was an easy method to see them glow but it's not a big deal to me. I'm just glad they blend well with my braces.

Hey Everyone,
I just got braced last week. I also got opaque ligs. I really like them. The assistant let me compare the clear, opaque, and white wire ties. The wire would hurt less, but was bright white (like my lower ligs).
The opaque really blend the best with the ceramic brackets and are more stain resistant than the clear ligs.
Here is a pic of my newly braced teeth with the opaque ligs. I hope this is big enough to see. This is my first picture post, so I'm not sure how to make it bigger
Excellent Indy! That shows what they look like real well, like theyre not even there. The clear ones make the teeth look darker then when stained (and it takes nothing to stain them) the teeth look yellow.
Now if your teeth aren't a natural or bleeched white the clear brackets with the opaques are going to look white against the teeth makeing your teeth yellower against the now clear (whighter) opaque's on you teeth...hope that makes sense.
Funny, just go with the metal brackets and poof it's not as hard. I am glad I got the clear brackets though, so many people say they really don't even see them.
On the metal brackets that I have on the back teeth on the lower arch, I decided to get colored ligs for those at my last appt. - I really like color but still not brave enough to get them on the brackets towards the front of my mouth.
I chose hot pink for one bracket and glow in the dark pink for the other on both sides of my mouth - so that I can see which one I liked better. I really like the hot pink but I wanted to mention that the glow in the dark pink shows a little color but does blend well with the metal brackets - you may want to try it on the ceramic brackets - I'm thinking about doing that at my next appt. I currently have a powerchain on my top brackets and they used the glow-in-the-dark opaque on it - it really blends well.
I have seen the clear ligs and powerchain, although it is clear it, the opaque seems to blend better (in my opinion).
I may try some of the other glow-in-the-dark colors - I think my office has aabout 5 colors to choose from.
