How long was your treatment?----- Original estimate was 24-30 months. Ortho now believes we will be done before 27 months, so I guess we're on track.
do u have to extract teeth?? ------- 4 first bicuspids, wisdoms still need to come out.
how Old are you?? ------------------ 24
what kind of brace??---------------- traditional metal
Spacers: 1/26/05; 2/6/06; 3/15/06; 4/24/06

Treatment time....Too long to have to do it again!

Personally I think the ICE brackets are bulky and more noticable than I was expecting, especially when larger/thicker wires are used. I guess with traditional metal there is no question what is on your teeth (sometimes with the clear brackets people don't know what is going on). I've had wire ties all along but just started powerchains which to me are really obvious on the clear brackets as I didn't want totally clear powerchains because of staining. I got the pearl colored ones and they have been fine with regard to staining but look weird (to me anyway!). Also, during my jaw surgery one corner of a bracket was actually chipped off. I would guess metal would have been more durable. Since I had metal when I had braces in my teens I wanted to try the clear!
