Ouch

I got the wire put on my bottom brackets yesterday after having had brackets on for 3 weeks. All I can say is ouch! My teeth all feel so tender and almost wobbly to touch.

Is this normal and how long does the pain last??

Thankfully my tongue is not sore as it has had a chance to get used to brackets already. I had to get extractions after the brackets were put on which is the reason for the delay.

I don't have my top wire on yet as I hit one of my teeth a few weeks ago and it is really sensitive so my ortho wants to wait a while before he puts any stress on it with a wire

It's completely normal. Odds are you're already feeling better though! I got past the worst of the pain in a few days, though every once in a while a single tooth suddenly started hurting and I could see noticeable movement. I'm only a little over 6 weeks in but the movement is already dramatic!
