London Ortho - Dr. Sarah Hepburn (based in Harley Street)

#1 Post by stars*slant »

Hi guys,

I am looking to have lingual braces and have looked at all the options out there and this seems to be the best for me as I am 27 and do not want regular braces. Nevertheless I am very scared to go down this route.

I am considering going to Dr. Sarah Hepburn who specialises in Incognito but I can't find any recommendations for her on the internet. Has anyone been to her?

Also there are alot of topics about pros and cons of lingual braces but I haven't seen before and after photos of people who have had lingual braces...please post.

Hi there,

I've only had my lingual brace in (top teeth only) for 3 weeks, but can pass on details of my ortho - she's in Hammersmith and is lovely. I can't vouch for the treatment yet as I've only just started, but my dentist referred me to her as he is using her for his own cosmetic treatment. I trust his judgment and so far the woman I'm seeing is fab.

Hi,
I am looking for a UK lingual specialist. I'm looking to get these by november at the latest because I wanted to pay for everything one-time, but I may start as soon as possible.
Could you please comment on the orthos you used and how things have been so far?? I'm in London as well. Also how much did it cost you?

I am interested in upper and lower linguals. I have straight teeth for the most part but i'd like to correct my bite. My upper and lower teeth protrude too much, affecting my profile.I feel like my smile is too toothy. I feel like everything needs to be pushed back. I have too many teeth for the size of my mouth and everything managed to squeeze in without going out of place, but i'm sure i'll need extractions in order to push back. Also i have a tiny gap between my front two teeth.

I'd really appreciate any help. Thanks!!

Hey there,

My ortho is Paul Ward at Thames Orthodontics - he is brilliant and teaches other orthos (I've been the subject of one of his lessons before!) He specialises in Lingual braces (I have upper lingual, lower ceramic)

The first consultation is also free - and from that they'll give you an estimate and tell you how long they expect treatment to be.

The nearest train station is Fulwell which is out of the way of Central London but I'd definitely recommend if you can get there - I know some people travel a long way to see him.

Good Luck, let me know if you need more specific details :-)

I know this is an old post, but has anyone else had any experience with Dr. Sarah Hepburn?
