Anybody with lower linguals (no lingualcare)?

#1 Post by lisa »

 Ohh...My ortho fixed the linguals on my lower jaw yesterday and I'm in pain!! I didn't expect my tongue to get SO scraped and scratched and it seems impossible to get used to the poking brackets and wires.
I know I should be patient, but I need some reassurance
In a couple of months I'll get the upper linguals as well...Uh oh...

Thank you...I'm using wax at the moment to give my poor tongue some rest, but I don't think it's a good idea to use it all the time...I'm afraid I'll never adapt if I do.

Sounds like you should take advantage of Lynn's bulk rate wax! :)

Improvements

#6 Post by lisa »

:D Just a few words to let you all know that I'm improving! I had the ortho clip a bit of wire that was piercing my tongue and now I can proudly say that I've spent my first 24 hours without wax! I can talk (with a tiny lisp) and eat soft food without feeling pain.
A hug to everybody.
