Sorry to hear your son's in pain. I don't know anything about the Mara appliance I'm afraid, but just thought I'd suggest you re-post your question in the general forum, if you don't get much response here. The parent/children's forum doesn't get as much traffic as the others, unfortunately. All the best to your son
