Hiya! Goodness knows how much longer. I was quoted 24 months on paper but everyone is so different I think that's just a ballpark number.QueenElizabeth wrote:9 months! Congrats! How much longer do you need to have them on for?

Re: Another braces story
9 Months today. 9 months and about 2.5 hours to be more exact. I got them put on Oct 28, 2011 and they were ON by 11am. I'm too lazy and bummed to post my monthly photo. I don't see ANY changes in my bottom front teeth. If they moved as fast as they did when they first started moving I could be done...

Re: my ortho took off my powerchain....
I had a powerchain for 5 weeks and felt gaps close. I could tell because flossing felt different. He took it off last monday and I can again feel a difference as some gaps opened up again. I figure he knows what he's doing. Maybe it's to help our teeth find their final comfortable position? Like whe...

Re: Another braces story
Another day, another ortho appointment. He took off my power chain, gave me another bag of elastics and told me to keep wearing them 24/7 then sent me on my way. *sigh* It's going to be a long summer. I joked "So how much longer until I can start asking 'how much longer'" and he said "...

Re: Less Noticeable Ligatures??
Why not just go silver? Silver brackets, silver ligs, silver wires, they match and they'll blend in. Plus I've read that silver ligs hold up to staining foods very well.

Re: Crazy Dream
I've dreamt of extra teeth growing over night and my archwire falling out so my teeth were even more crooked than before I got the braces. I even dreamt Walter Bishop from Fringe was my ortho. The last one my brackets were stuck to my teeth but they kept sliding around on the surface of each tooth s...

Re: Power chain bracelets
I don't think the postal strike has anything to do with the shipping cost. It's just some companies put a flat rate, usually a high one, on anything shipped to Canada from the US. Still haven't heard back.

Re: Did you get xrays again & reposition your brackets?
Yup, I had it done too. No extra charge, it's all included. Actually, I had xrays then the ortho decided to wait another 6 weeks. So later I had another set done and had 2 brackets moved.

Power chain bracelets
So I finally find something I want to order online. A bracelet from http://www.bracedlets.com/. So awesome. But it's a $20 flat rate shipping charge on a $4.99 item. Wha? The downside of living in Canada and ordering from the States. I've emailed them to see if there's any wiggle room in the...

Re: How do elastics work?
It's not so bad so far. I actually don't really notice them in my mouth. Once in a while I'll get the inside of my check sort of stuck on the elastic but talking is fine. I still wake up with some aching from the clenching. I guess that's why it seems most people wear elastics just at night. You're ...

Re: How do elastics work?
Today is my 5th day with them and they're much better than they were on Monday. My teeth hurt the most in the morning when I wake up, like I've been clenching all night. I'm still not sure exactly where my jaw is supposed to go but going by what the ortho has said in the past I think I've got a hand...
