Re: Harriet's Journey
Lookin' good! Congrats! Your teeth wlll look great when you're done! Upon inspecting the braces when I got some I noticed one of the ligatures was not hooked around one of the corners of the bracket but managed to put in place pretty easily thankfully! Sometimes they do this on purpose, if a tooth i...

Lower central incisor extraction
I know this has been asked before, but figured I'd ask again. I had SARPE just a shade over a year ago, especially curious if anyone had this done in conjunction with top expansion or orthognathic surgery. Anyone have this done? Results? Healing? Fake tooth in the meantime? Thanks...I'm pretty nervo...

Re: BracketRacket's story
I have a consultation with an oral surgeon tomorrow to discuss the extraction of my right lower central incisor
I'm a bit, well not scared, but anxious. About the procedure, about the "fake tooth" afterwards, the results, etc.

Re: sharp tooth pain after drinking cold water
I had some really bad (like crying) senstitivity for a day or two -- the pain literally radidated down my jaw. I thought I had a serious problem -- then it went away. If it keeps up for more than a day or two, then definitely get it checked out, but it is possible that is just a sensitivity issue an...

Re: BracketRacket's story
Bottom brackets are much better! I had a pin from the non-used elastics poking, but got that taken care of, thank goodness!

Re: Why aren't brackets round?
Haha -- have you guys heard of Wild Smiles brackets? I know very little about them, but apparently they come in all different shapes like hearts, stars, footballs, etc. Don't know if I'm allowed to link, so just google it. I have no idea if they work, have other issues, etc., but they look cool! I a...

Re: BracketRacket's story
Ouch man! Long story short (I'll explain soon, promise), I have no wire on the bottom now. And the brackets are ripping the inside of my lip to shreds!

I'll grab some as soon as I can! OK, let's see. Where did we leave off? At my second-to-last adjustment, I got a powerchai...

Re: DrBlur's story
WAHOOO!!!! Congrats! Sounds like we're at the same spot with the gaps -- I have pretty sizable ones between my laterals and canines, too. My front teeth were steel tied last time (had been powerchained across the front four) and I think my ortho said he just wanted to see where things settled for no...

Re: Too old for expander?
well im 31 and have an expander because my pallate is too narrow but im also having surgically assisted rapid pallate expansion this weekend which speeds up the process. I also got told by one ortho that they were going to expand the old fashioned way which would take 9 months, so age should not be...

Elastics snapping
I know elastics snap, it's the nature of the beast. I'm just trying to feel out exactly how often is too often. I'm wearing one, on the right side, at the moment. The darn thing snaps AT LEAST once a day, often twice. Of course, I replace it when it does. I'm supposed to be wearing it as close to 24...

Ouch! (Elastic)
I just got elastics for the first time two days ago. I'm only wearing one, in a semi-box configuration, on the right side. I'm in green elastics, they don't seem to be very heavy-weight. My teeth hurt to much when I wake up in the morning -- do you think that'll go away? I also have two new wires, s...

Re: 6 Days between SARPE and Expansion, is that okay?
I had about four days in between the surgery and when I started expanding. I felt a lot of tension and pressure when I expanded, I think that's pretty normal.
