I had 5 extractions and an impacted tooth uncovered with linguals. If they can do that they can do anything!

I think option 3 best benefits you. I know it's a few more months, but does a few more months really matter when it comes to a smile you'll enjoy for a lifetime?

Hi guys!! Thanks for all the encouragment! I called back and they were very gracious and told me to come in tomorrow and they'd put some glue on the tooth to keep it from slipping! Yay. My canine is COMPLETELY EXPOSED and already has a button on it. Now they're just trying to push it to its correct ...

Incredibly Frustrated

Just need to vent to people who understand... as I am starting to feel like my friends and family are tired of hearing about my daily braces updates! I guess my bicuspid moving into place isnt nearly as exciting to them... hah.. But... as for my frustration.... I feel like everytime I go to the orth...

Didnt know pain could be this bad

Ive been in braces for 3 months and had a very HEAVY wire. I went to my appt. today and expected the usual, new ligs and re-tying of my canine that was uncovered. Ohhh but Noo.. Prior to getting braces I had a brown spot on my bicuspid. The dentist enver said anything about it so asked him what it was. It was indeed a small cavity. It was so small however that it was unrecoginizable in the xray.

Ouch -- Impacted Canine

I'm a lingual wearer-- but thought there'd be more people that have experienced an impacted canine on this board. I had my impacted canine uncovered (roof of mouth) in September. Its quite exposed as of now. I can see about 3/4 of the tooth. It has grown in behind my lateral incisor.. Obviously it n...

Pizza is actually one of the easier things for me to eat... as long as the crust and pizza is moderatly soft and not crunchy!!! Pringles and Cheez-Itz are two of my favorite snack foods too... but I havent been able to eat them yet! Too hard and crunchy... but here are alternatives that worked well ...

Been there!

Hi! Yes and Yes.. I have had dry socket and bone loss from a bicuspid extraction site. Dry Socket: I had dry socket shortly after having my wisdom teeth removed. Believe me, you will KNOW whether or not it's dry socket because the pain is very distinct! I have a very high pain tolerance... and my dr...

I would say no. I hated my canines too and preferred them to be out-- but my ortho informed me that they are the strongest teeth in your mouth (have the longest roots) and are needed for chewing. She said without my canines, my other teeth would be more susecptible to wear and tear and breaking, etc...

There are so many people, including myself, who have made posts on "why their teeth look worse before they get better"..... it's just the way it goes! Talk to your ortho and I'm sure they'll assure you, just as they did me, that sometimes things do get worse before better. Also- my orthodo...

Have no fear! My two front teeth that were the ONLY straight teeth in my mouth prior to braces... have suddenly started criss-crossing eachother... I flipped out--- and my orthodontist assured me that things do get worse before they get better... and that sometimes they have to do that as they are w...
