Re: What kind of lip balm do you use?
I haven't really settled on one particular brand. I just buy whatever I see usually. The best one I've tried so far is Norwegian Formula. The taste is fairly plain and inoffensive, and it does a good job day or night. The only one I've tried that I won't buy again is 'Nivea Essential Care'. It works...

Re: Been waiting 6 weeks and counting for my refinements
Hi. I am also based in the UK. Just checked my blog for my initial timeline to see how quickly the aligners came. Impressions and xrays: 8th June Clincheck video arrived: 16th June. I delayed things by a few days while I asked questions, sorted out finance etc. Paid deposit and my dentist ordered al...

Re: Gonna be a bride with braces!
It is awesome that you are going to be brace-buddies.
My husband has annoyingly straight teeth already, so I'm on my own.
Congratulations all on 3 counts (wedding and braces x2!)

Re: Depression due to crooked teeth
I haven't suffered from depression, but I can relate to one aspect of your post. Once I had made the decision to straighten my teeth - I became so much more bothered about what they looked like than I ever was before. The time waiting for my treatment to actually start, and the early days when it lo...

Wow, they are looking great! Especially the tops.
They are going to look amazing when they are done
That kind of thing makes Invisalign patients jealous. I've been in Invisalign over 4 months and haven't had that amount of movement yet!

Re: Question..
So sorry to hear that. It will likely extend your treatment time. But the estimated treatment time isn't an exact science anyway, so your treatment time could be longer or shorter without the delay anyway. I would ring them every week between now and your appointment and see if they have had any can...

Re: Did your teeth get worse before they got better? How?
My two upper front teeth used to be really crossed over. Now they are just crossing over at the tip - so i'm left with a noticable 'black triangle' gap near the top. Being used to overcrowding makes gaps very odd for me. Looking in detail I can see how they've kind of got to move this way, but I wis...

Hi kimnim1, It is good to hear from someone who has finished active treatment. I am on 11 of 24 and very impatient for the day I get to switch to nightwear only. A couple of questions. How long did you have to wear your retainers 24 hours a day? And did you have any refinements or midcourse correcti...

26 yrs old first timer with invisalign
Hey folks. I am now 20 weeks (last day of aligner set 10) into my invisalign treatment. It has gone so fast! That makes me very nearly half way through on my upper arch (21 aligners), and only a month away from half way through my lowers (24). My blog (see link in signature) has more regular updates...

I was obsessive for the first few days. I swear I did no work (shh, don't tell my boss) for about 3 days before I finally got used to these things. Most orthodontists will show the patient the clincheck before they commit to the treatment. Obviously they don't *have* to, but one of the major selling...

Same here with the phantom wobbly teeth. Your teeth move because when force is put on them, some biological process kicks in and starts removing and adding bone where necessary to push your tooth into its new position. So during movement the tooth will have a little bit more room to move around in t...

Spending all this money and effort I'm of the opinion that I don't want to stop my treatment until my teeth are perfect. However I've only put up with it for 4 months so far, so who knows if I'll still feel like that after a year! Talk to the ortho and see what they say. Having a conversation about ...

You've spent all that money and gone to all that effort, seems a shame to end early. Only you know how you feel though, so if you really can't stand them any more then discuss this with your ortho. If you do decide to stop now make sure you go through whatever retainer phase your ortho recommends so...

Either your ortho doesn't know what he's doing with computers, or hotpass105 is right and the software to convert from clincheck to something useful costs money and he doesn't want to pay. I would point out to him that you know other people have got copies of their clincheck (mine is in wmv format) ...
