about a month ago they actually had a mini segment on medical breakthroughs part of the local news on this. Seems the screw is meant to be an anchor for many different types of devices that would normally be anchored with headgear or molars.

Having it replaced was my plan after treatment, it has never been been shaped quite right(only if you look super close can you tell), and it feels like it shrank or something, because i can clearly feel with my finger where the crown meet the tooth, which hasn't always been the case.

Another thing that I haven't thought about, that I didn't think to post. I have most of my back molars sealed as cavity prevention, and half of one of my front teeth is a fake(I dont know the real name for it). Is the fake half of the front tooth(its broken at about a 45 degree angle across the toot...

yeah my dentist has commented that I need braces, but also that I have a good bite, so that isn't really a worry to much for me i know. And no I haven't been in for a consult yet, probably in the next 2 weeks or so I'll at least make an appointment

i'll deal with extractions if needed.. but I wont do surgery if suggested, 0 chance. Not only does it just not seem worthwhile for me, but I wouldn't be able to get that much time off work... aloud very very few call ins or vacation days.

How painful are extractions really? I know from friends and family that widom teeth are really bad, but are things like bicuspids easier to deal with? Is it more of a soreness or a mind numbing pain.. Extractions are really the only thing scaring the nerve out of me, but I know I'm going to need som...
