thanks mer, i think its easier because ive been through alllll of this before last summer with my SARPE, just the (big) difference is being rubberbanded shut...liquid diet last time meant swallowing anything and everything whole...now, no chance...we all make it right...im sure ill be fine, too.

one week isnt bad...bottoms have been on for almost 2 weeks, and will be 3 weeks prior to surgery that ive had them and tops, two weeks. you actually dont feel them. its mostly just a pain for cleaning, but what isnt at this point! ps- i think my OD likes torture, i had my RPE in 16 days before srug...

i was totally out cold for my SARPE and i think im glad that i was. you should ask how aware you will be for this and see comfortable you are with it. i think most common practice is totally knocked out, so if you are nervous, ask if they can do it that way, or find someone that will do it the way y...

well, my surgeon explained why insurance didnt cover the whole procedure and they ARE ass backwards... he said that they wont cover eerything on purpose to give the surgeon a chance to bill the patient out of pocket cuz they know they have to get it done...NO KIDDING!!! luckily, my surgeon is not as...

so i was approved for lower AND even my chin 100% insurance coverage, just the copay for surgeon, etc....but not a lefort 1 piece????? does this not make any sense or what??? i get the chin, which is usually cosmetic, but not the upper jaw, which has a good 8mm vertical excess, open bite, and a cant...

change in date

my date is now july 1st indtead of june 24th. i think the surgeon couldnt get the date he intended on, so im a week later. no big deal i guess...as long as im unwired with enough time to be able to tak when the school year starts again...great info so far, we should get some liquid recipes together ...

i think its great if you post any info you have. good to know that there are other people going through all of this at the same time. i know, im getting 'the works", and its going to be exciting because as i get closer to the date, my mouth is getting worse and worse...good for the surgeon they say....

hey phil, i am close to surgery. about 3 motnhs away. ever since i had my sarpe, i have clenched my jaw at night when i sleep or when i am not thinking to relax it. my teeth dont have a spot to sit yet and its leaving white marks on my teeth. last month the worst happened. i actually chipped a molar...
