lueyfufu- good luck tomorrow!!! i had a SARPE almost a year to the date, and upper/lower/genio 6 days ago...you can do it!

there is a really helpful link titled SARPE not to far down the threads you should look at. it will explain what you are having and what to expect from different perspectives.

steph- I dont have any rigid fixation steph- you dont have any plates or screws (rigid fixation), maybe that is why you are rubberbanded so heavily to keep your jaw in place securely. i figured that i would come out of surgery rubberbanded quite heavily, but nothing was on my mouth! i could even op...

wired

are you having rigid fixation? plates and screws? then unless something goes wrong, ie- bad bone break, you shouldnt need to be wired. i would talk to him if youre that nervous about it.

congratulations and good luck! you have the right state of mind, get through the first few days and it will improves greatly after that. im on day five and feeling pretty good/having visitors/going on longer walks.

hey all...i decided to stay in the hospital an extra day...loooong surgery. didnt get out until 730 pm to the recovery room. i was told that it could not have gone better than expected...right to the plan...8 hour surgery, exactly as described. only lost 500 cc of blood, so they didnt use the stuff ...
