I wouldn't. The bite plate is for a specific purpose during your treatment. I'd go in and just get a replacement.. you wouldn't want to go backwards.

There are a lot of rules, but the ortho will tell you.. but I'm sure many of them you can eat, just be careful and aware if you're pushing the limits.
