Just to add to what Meryaten says,

Bear in mind that linguals will cost somewhat more than regular braces. In reality, I started to forget about my bottom braces after a while and I even started "dressing" them up with coloured ligs. Even then, some people still didn't notice!!

wow i would have given up a long time ago.
Unhelpful comment.

Think before you shoot. Especially someone who has had such challenging times with ortho, and would give you nothing but support.

If you're near the coast (and living in a sewered area), it's most likely out to sea by now.

I went into town, walked into my favourite chocolate shop and bought $40 worth. Then I ate (some of) it. Having "completed the course", my ortho gave me $800 worth of portrait photography, but I let it lapse.....just not my thing. He also gave me a bottle of bubbles, that disappeared fairl...

Re: wisdom teeth

I've still got a lower and upper, both fully erupted and straight. The lower was on the wire, the upper wasn't. The second lower was pulled 6 months in so that my ortho could close my bite. The other upper has been sitting high up in my jaw somewhere for decades, not causing any trouble.

Everyone has bad days. Stick with it, it's worth it. The time will pass, things will get better and before you know it, you'll be done and dusted.

Try sticking some wax on the back bracket to give you a bit of relief.

It's common to find reasons to procrastinate - I tried this too! You'll be fine to go back to work on the same day if you wish. I did, no dramas. As for birthday celebrations, that should be OK too. The best advice I can give you is to carry on life as normal and not let the braces interfere with it.

Sydneysider here, welcome to the forum. I'm not abreast of invisalign, but can offer some advice on recouping costs in Oz. If you're a tax payer, you're eligible to claim 20% of the excess of annual medical/dental costs over $1500 off your tax. This is on the unclaimed portion obviously, so anything...

This is not uncommon, don't be angry about it.

Call your ortho and see if they can schedule an appointment to reattach the bracket. It's not going to delay your treatment.

and woww I bet you look completely different then! My braces came off in November last year. Some of my friends say I look a little different, others didn't even notice anything going on at the time. I don't see a lot of change myself, other than my face may be a bit fuller and my smile broader. Ec...
