Re: Kleenite on Invisalign?
Used it several times now with no staining. Even left a previous set of trays in a glass of kleenite overnight and didn't see any problems or staining. Would be easy to travel with since its powder or find at a drugstore if you forget cleaning stuff in a trip.

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.
Went in for my first 6 week checkup yesterday! Dentist could already see movement! It's so slight I can barely tell unless I use my magnifying makeup mirror but my bottom incisors have all spread apart enough that there's no contact, the floss doesn't "pop" anymore. Actually that's happeni...

Re: Lig colours (colors)
My favorite combo when I had brackets many years ago during phase I was teal and black. I got the "cool lady" for my adjustment and somehow she was able to fit two ligs vertically on each bracket and made a neat pattern! Not sure if she did that so I would have more colors on my 4 brackets...

Re: How long before you started seeing movement?
Definitely noticing more space between each tooth when flossing at Tray 3. Especially next to the two spots I had IPR on the first day. I don't really notice any straightening yet. My mom did when she finally saw me 5 weeks in (tray 3) but I think with the aligner in it kind of masks the positioning...

Re: Jumping sides soon!
Almost done with 3 of 35 and honestly I wish I would have given brackets serious thought. Mostly because I'm a snacker and an advid coffee drinker and a beer snob. Love having Friday/Saturday movie nights or binge watch sessions with a few local craft brews. Now I have to chug it with my dinner and ...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.
Thanks for the encouragement! Can't wait to post some pics once I'm allowed! Might start a separate blog too. :) Oh man tonight on the way home I grabbed teriyaki to go and I totally wanted to reach in and eat a potsticker at a really long red light. Oh wait Invisalign. Bummer! Smelled so good after...

Kleenite on Invisalign?
Found a product at the drugstore this evening called Kleenite, looks like it's a bottle of crystals of some sort. Says it's safe for orthodontic appliances including clear aligners and I don't see persulfate in the ingredients list. I do see baking soda (sodium bicarbonate, yay British YouTube cooki...

Re: Phase I and Phase II Ortho Treatment
I had phase I in the early 1990s at 9. I don't know what exactly all my appliances did, burnin know I had an overbite/jet and not enough room with severely overlapping upper incisors. 4 brackets, headgear, bite plate, and LLA for a year made it so I never needed extractions (except impacted wisdom t...

Phase 2 at 30, never too late.
Started my adventure in what could be my Phase 2 treatment 5 weeks ago, at age 30. Been feeling a little lonely in the adventure since I'm using Invisalign and no one around me on a regular basis is even in traditional braces let alone Invisalign. So I've been lurking here a bit and totally inspired...
