Re: SmartTrack material sloughing off?

I managed to get the biggest pieces off with nail clippers. These are the ones that were cutting me so at least I was able to get rid of them. What is left just feels annoying but is do-able. I'm wondering if a lint shaver might work on plastic shavings? Is this a common problem with the new material?

What about something like "Ensure" or a protein shake? If you use a straw, it will only hit the back of your mouth. Drinking just one is unlikely to make you have to use the washroom but will give your body the nutrition and hydration it is asking for. If you live in a country where they s...

SmartTrack material sloughing off?

Is anyone else having a problem with the new material flaking off on contact areas? I clench my teeth since starting Invisalign and the material sloughs off in the areas that contact. It is getting quite uncomfortable because it is scratching my tongue and lips. I also keep swallowing little flakes ...

Re: invisalign and teeth colour

I wondered why mine seemed to be getting yellower instead of whiter too. With all the brushing I figured I'd at least stay the same. What I found out when my attachments came off for a mid-course correction was that it was the attachments that made my teeth look yellowish. I think the attachments be...

Re: My story- braces at 26 (just too many teeth)

I just wanted to set your mind at ease about extractions. Only one of my wisdom teeth actually grew in and I had that removed while I was awake. I was really scared because when I had premolars extracted as a child, I was alseep. It turned out to be nothing. Molars have more roots than the premolars...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I got my new attachments and some surprise IPR yesterday. To be honest, I'm flat-out struggling with having these 4 little attachments on my front teeth... but I know that this is my own personal dental anxiety issue and not something other people would have a hard time with. My reaction has been co...

Wow..it`s amazing how quickly major changes have happened! You must be so pleased! Is it getting easier to imagine that there will be life after braces?

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I picked up the first of my new aligners (post Mid-Course correction) on Saturday. It turns out that they are the new SmartTrack material! I mentioned this material in my last post and thought that I would be getting it (at that time) because my ortho assistant got her new aligners just before I did...

Re: I just could not escape

Hi Rory. Just wanted to say that I'm sorry you have been dealing with headaches. You have been through a lot in the last while and I hope this problem is soon resolved and surgery is avoided. I also get migraines and I have once had a painless visual migraine. If didn't lose my vision but did start ...

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

Klobird, you aren't alone. I am the same. Dentist= major fear, ortho= no problem (by comparison). I have a dentist appointment in April and I'm already anxious. I couldn't even explain what I'm nervous about...just plain old scared. In fact, I won't let them book me an appointment for 9 months later...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

It was another eventful appointment day. Eventful in a good way. As I expected, my pesky canines weren't tracking quite right so Dr. Tam decided to do a mid-course correction. This isn't an uncommon thing to have during treatment and I'm actually almost glad because, even though I lose some time wai...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Btw, if any Invisalign users are reading this, do you keep all of your old aligners? I have been keeping them all in their packages in a big bag but I have a huge desire to purge lately. Is there any need to keep more than your previous one or two aligners?

Re: Jem's belated story

I agree that they look amazing Jem! I can't imagine they could get much straighter. From the underneath, that one lateral does look ever so slightly off but I think it is probably just the shape of it. From the smile view, it looks perfect! A great smile in only a year! Lucky you!

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I survived the holidays! I was good about my hours all days but Christmas eve and Christmas day. Christmas eve I still managed to get just over 20 and a 1/2 so I think that is not going to do too much damage as a one off. Christmas day was pretty bad though. I wasn't able to track exactly so I hope ...
