Re: Debanding Date!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the replies!!! VA5, Yes me teeth are just about perfect, IMO. Compared to what they were and how far they've come, yes they're perfect. My bite is good, and all of the roots are straight according to the panorex films taken. HAL2ME, I've seen your pics, your teeth look great! You suck! J/...

Thank you so much for your reply MyLittleTeeth. I had heard the problem with flossing before. The good thing is that I already purchased a waterpik when I got braced. Yes, I'm very excited to be "almost done"! My results have been nothing short of amazing over the past 20 months. Good luck...

Hey Jo, sorry I'm in the U.S., so I cant' make any recommendations for you in London. I can give you a little advice. I had seen three orthodontists before making my decision. I will tell you to look for someone who you would trust to work on your children or wife or someone whom you care deeply abo...

I have kinks all over the place on both wires, top and bottom. My ortho explained it to me like this: At each adjustment, the look at the teeth individually and as a whole. The use all the other teeth as an anchor for any adjustments to the arch.wire on specific teeth. They can move the teeth in the...

Some orthodontists do in-house financing. My ortho is one. I pay $150/month until paid in full. I have it drafted automatically from my checking account on the first of every month, there is no interest, there is no prepayment penalty and I can pay extra if I want. I did sign a contract agreeing to ...

Debanding Date!!!!!!!!!

So I finally got a rock solid debanding date from my Ortho today! The date is January 20, 2011, just shy of two months. It will be at the 22 month mark from the time I was braced. It been a long road but well worth it. So, for all of you adults that are new to the forum, newly braced or thinking of ...

Take it from a 41 year old in braces (also had an expander), DO IT NOW!!! In retrospect, if I had the means when I was younger, I would have done this in a heartbeat. You are still very young you have the rest of your life to live with a great smile. I'm sure the facial changes are not going to be t...

All of you should try look at as I do. If I were going in for surgery, getting my car fixed, having home improvements done, etc. I would want to know exactly what was going on and what each step is for. I work very hard for my money as I'm sure each of you do. I have two sons and myself in braces, s...

As the previous person posted, they will be sore for a day or two. Each day it will get a little better. It's amazing how much a little ring of elastic can move your teeth. I wore class three triangles for months 24/7 to correct an underbite. What a difference now compared to then. Somewhere on this...

Snowglobe32,
As another person posted, wear your elastics! It's so important to the your final results. My ortho corrected so much with elastics (seven different configurations). I was religious with them and they worked like a charm, so hang in there it gets better!

Sorry to correct you, but it sounds like you mean 90 degrees. If the tooth is that far out, the ortho can do a panorex xray to determine if it can be rotated without damaging the roots. I had my two upper lateral incisors rotated, one from about 45 degrees and the other from 90 degrees like your mol...

You should try to be patient. The changes will come. My teeth were definitely getting worse before they got much, much better. I thought my ortho didn't know what she was doing! But 18+ months in, I'm thrilled with the results thus far. So, just give it time. Your ortho went to school for a long tim...
