Re: My beloved diastema - aka I love my gap tooth!
Glad my gap is gone. Unfortunately the older I got the wider it got. I was becoming more embarrassed, self conscious and smiling less. I am very happy it has gone.

What is SEATING?
During my last adjustment my orthodontist was discussing my next adjustment with the technician. He stated that he wanted me to have class 2 elastics and SEATING . The tech glanced at him with a look of disbelief/shock/horror difficult to say which and questioned SEATING ? The ortho confirmed yes SE...

Re: Running out of food choices
I have been able to eat anything. At first I just cut up food very small even sandwiches and chewed with molars. It does get a bit tender after an adjustment for a couple of days. I take Advil and manage anything from steaks to apples sliced of course dipped in caramel...yummy.

Re: Finally Got Them!
Hello everyone I had my adjustment today and it happens to be my one year anniversary with braces. Today they repositioned three brackets, did some IPR between my bottom front teeth and changed the wires and took an xray. He asked how I was doing and I told him I would feel much better if I saw some...

Re: Beckyboo in Braces
Hi beckyboo I had a phrenectomy prior to having braces, so I dont have any excess gum in my gap. I haven't had any pain or inflammation. Maybe Advil, ice , cold drinks, salt water rinses and Oracle may help. I hope it improves for you soon. It will probably settle down now its closed up.
