Congrats on seeing movement in 3 weeks, Drew's Mom. I'm thinking I won't mind staying in them a while after they get straight. The teeth need to develop a memory, I'm told, and if they're too newly straightened they can go back the old way. purpleteeth - I'm getting gaps that I never had before, als...

To my understanding we are not to use any whitening strips or the like while braced.

I have the same exact brackets as you do.

Thanks for the info! I probably will have powerchains some time or another. I don't have any gaps, but I have a rotated tooth. So I guess I may get to experiment with color, too.

Funshine: Maybe you will get to have color if you ever have to wear a powerchain :D
What exactly do powerchains do?

Hello and welcome, JWDallas! Also congrats on getting braced! I'm sure everyone is different, but my pain didn't really start until day 2 (at least 48 hours or so later). I couldn't even touch my teeth with my tongue. But it was nothing Motrin couldn't handle! I got clear SL brackets on top, also. Y...

It's definitely a learning process. But each day is progress, so we roll with whatever comes along.

Good luck. It'll all be worth that beautiful smile! :D

Very pretty :D

I have SL brackets so I don't think I'll get the chance to experiment with color.

This is the first time in a year that they've felt loose?

No worries. Mine started feeling loose a week after I got mine. Smile. That's progress! :D

Hi, sparkles. First and foremost when in doubt always call the ortho's office just to be sure. I have molar build-ups (hate those buggers!). I have to consciously put them together. The build-ups don't come together on my normal bite. I actually have to pull my lower jaw back just a tad for the buil...

How are you feeling today, catfish? I'm curious how long you were sore. I got new rectangle wires today - thick ones! Flying out in the morning to give a presentation on Wednesday. Looks like it may be a painful presentation! What was I thinking??

I went from thinner to thicker.

I got new wires today. She said 20's. I wonder if that's close to the thickest there is? They look sort of squared, too. Sure are tight! :?
