They could file between your teeth (IPR). Then the teeth are brought together and the gap is smaller or gone. I thought they normally do that while braces are still on, but maybe it can be done now.

Well, our appearance will change with age. But being photogenic is about your attitude, the sparkle in your eye, the expression on your face...those are things you can control. If you believe your are attractive and photogenic, you will be!!! Most importantly, you need to learn to accept your curren...

From what I've read about TADS, they would be the best technical method to anchor your front teeth and bring your molars forward as much as possible, while minimizing how much your front teeth move back. Since that's what you say you want, you'll just have to deal with the TADS. Be glad they were in...

Congrats!! They are so straight and it's hard to tell what about your bite is not perfect. I think you should follow orders to wear elastic only at night. It may start to relapse during day but would then be pulled back at night. You could risk overcorrection if you wear it 24/7. But if things shoul...

Here's my take: why would you pay more for a longer treatment that at it's best might achieve results equal to fixed braces? Also if you like to snack a lot, fixed braces are better because You can eat something and then rinse you mouth out well with water and be OK. With invislign, you REALLY have ...

I think you will have great results :D About the adult canine that never came down, it might come down on it's own once the other teeth are moved over or there are things they can do to help pull it down. Look for the thread called "impacted canine club" on the metal mouth section. If I we...

In terms of aesthetics, I think it looks best the way it is. IMO, neither extracting a tooth and making a narrower smile nor adding in an implant that is fake and looks a bit off from the rest would be an improvement. As long as your bite is good including in how the top and bottom teeth align, I wo...

Hi eleven, I understand you're saying that the surgery was successful and you're told your bite and face are functional and proportional and attractive BUT you still think about your old appearance and can't see the changes. Do I have the right? The feeling you describe is called body dysmorphia. Yo...

Try to rule out any other cause before thinking it's from the braces. Could be the flu. How long have you had the symptoms?
Are you female? Morning-specific nausea could be morning sickness from pregnancy!

I see what you're talking about and agree with the advice already given. I'd say the sooner you can get in to see one of your docs, the better. I think something is not going according to plan in terms of the movement you had in the last 2 weeks, but see what they say can be done and if you have con...

Hey Buckey, I've been catching up on your story and I hate cigarette smoke and it's lingering odor too - makes me gag and it IS bad for us to breath, even the residual stuff! I take it your ortho is a smoker. Does he actually blow smoke in your face while examining you or is it *merely* the after od...

So what's your long term plan? Is there still an adult tooth under the gum or is it missing altogether? That baby tooth might last another 10 years or 20 if you're lucky and then it will fall out. Do you plan to get braces again when you're 29 or 39 to close the gap or what will you do then? Get an ...

Braces are not just for cosmetic purposes. The most important functional issue is correcting the bite. The common bite problems are overbite, underbite, crossbite and open bite. An overbite is when the top teeth cover much, most, or all of the lower teeth when the bite is closed. I know something ab...

Great progress! Good news: Don't worry, braces won't make your chin get bigger. That would require surgery! (or maybe ortho in kids when they're still growing). In adults braces can only move the teeth within the the jawbone. When you stick your bottom jaw forward it's moving the teeth AND the jaw a...

Don't give up! From a technical standpoint, I think the TAD approach would be the next step. Find an ortho you trust, before you do anything else.
