I have seen extensive changes with the elastics! I haven't had a wire change yet, but I'm hoping it will come soon! I'm about to have my 3rd adjustment, so maybe my teeth have moved enough by then! Do you know the purpose for each type of wire?

I also have short roots, but mine are on my 4 lower incisors. Slight underbite, and have been braced for about a month now. The orthodontist has applied class III elastics to my central lowers to my back upper molars. I would think this would make effect my roots on my incisors, but so far so good. ...

I agree with verso. From my own experience, I had to have braces 18 months the first time around and 10 months this time around. It's been about 5 years between the orthodontia. My teeth seem to be moving faster, too. I've noticed significant movement in 1 month Only time will tell!
