Re: Should I get my power chain off

Yes, there was movement, now it stops, but still hurts. How long should it be painful?

Everything depend on method of treatment. We can't know that, ask your ortho.

Should I get my power chain off

I have power chain on my 5 front bottom teeth. Lower lateral incisor was extracted and braces were installed. Now, after almost 3 weeks my bottom front teeth still hurt a lot, especially right central incisor next to the extraction gap. I concern, is pressure to high, is this safe for my teeth? I as...

Re: Anyone NOT regret their extractions?

I've got the same fears, but already after lower extraction so I have to perform uppers. I've done some researches and e. g. Kate Middleton have her 4 premolar extraction and Kristen Stewart at least 2 uppers maby 4, they look perfectly fine and are pretty. :D

Re: Unhappy with facial changes

I'm also scared and read those horror stories. When there are serious malocclusion and teeth have to be moved dramatically to achieve good bite there will be facial changes. The question is bad or good. I've aslo been watching some youtube films where a modern otho says extraction method is outdated...

Re: Another Newbie Joins Up!

First days are really tough, only soft food, because of teeth pain I assume it will be the same after each adjustment. Even spaghetti was a challenge. Now after almost to 2 weeks I eat pretty anything I want, just use me hands to do "bites" or cut everything in tiny pieces.
Good luck!

Re: Uneven sides, ortho tells me it's normal

first of all your head is turned a little bit to right (left on the photo) I'm not sure is the way of doing picture or it is a skeletal problem. If that is second braces won't solve the problem, there's no miracle. and after orthodontic treatment not always in the fact very rarely perfection is main...

Re: Lower incisor extraction

I have a moderate amount of crowding on the bottom, and a large diastema on top :( I did not get a chance to ask about the affect on canine position, but I will definitely ask him when I go in for spacers. I am also concerned that I will get an overjet as a result. Do you think I should ask him any...

Re: Lower incisor extraction

My ortho also have placed a fake tooth on the bracket. now there's really no gap to see. he made that tooth as narrow as that wouldn't disturb anything before next adjustment. But still gap is not visible. i'm just feeling weird with 3 incisors but when I look at my teeth there was really no other w...

Re: Crowded teeth

They can expand the size of the jaw, but it depends on the age. If you are nearly 60 expansion can cause more problems then benefits. Your ortho tell you everything.
