Re: OK--This was not the plan!

Okay.....let's try to spin this. You have faith in your ortho and your superdentist. Your ortho is recommending this. Has he recommended the surgeon? That should be a positive. Ask superdentist what he thinks of the surgeon or would he recommend someone else. I'm not a fan of teeth extractions. Let ...

Re: Catgyrl's (Cathy's) Journey at age 42...

Got to post my "You Go Girl!" wishes. September may seem far off but it will be here before you know it. Strange thing is you'll miss them at times. Then you'll get giddy when you see someone with wires and think to yourself, "I'm glad its you and not me......" When you'll miss t...

Re: opera^gal's story

Guess that proves my ignorance with all things musical. I still think it would work for you.

Re: opera^gal's story

I know you're type.....bat those eyes, smile a huge grin and sing a sonata. He'll give you three rolls.

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

I opted for surgery for a couple of reasons. Because of previous orthodontics and the pulling of teeth, my teeth would not have been visible without the surgery. My ortho didn't think she could achieve a good bite without it (she was the only one who even suggested she could improve my TMJ issues). ...

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

Mercy......If I was near you I'd offer a hug or a cold beer. I suffered a couple of three times in a month ortho visits but that's crazy. I just hope your employment is more understanding than mine. As far as your teeth finding a good bite, I'd love to give you wisdom from my experience. I didn't ha...

Glad (I think it worked for you). I can't imagine her not using a tool to grind off the glue. That almost sounds like something in violation of the Geneva Convention.

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

Could you just make a huge cake of wax and bury in it? I'd be fearful of almost anything puncturing your gums during the night.

"Klobird e-mailed me and wants everyone to know that she is unable to login. She can't post or read a pm right now, but she can read everything. She is working with Lynne (admin) to see if there is anything she can do to help. So far, it's still not working."

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

My thoughts are real simple..... remember braces are something you are doing for yourself, not something that is being done to you. This is one of the few things that you can do just for yourself. When all is said and done, you are the one who benefits from this. It is worth it in the end. It may ta...

Re: Catgyrl's (Cathy's) Journey at age 42...

I understand the desire to cross the food boundary. I found I couldn't look at anything on the orto's no-no list and not have something pop off. My son, who just got his braces off two weeks ago could have ate gravel and nothing would have happened. I think we all get to the point of enough. I used ...

Re: opera^gal's story

Hmmmmm...... You nailed me! Drive a PT Convertible like Opera Girl....Already do that. Sing well enough to be on stage? They make me serve in the concession stand. Live in New York City. Not a chance in...... In many ways we're alike....but in others? She's too slow of a driver, too good of a singer...

Re: opera^gal's story

Funny we share cars (convertible PT's) and we both had our Sonicares pass away. My won't hold a charge long enough to brush my teeth.

Guess we'll share a shopping trip to buy a new one.

Re: OK--This was not the plan!

Trust me.....I didn't tell my kids. My son wouldn't have believed it anyway. It was amazing. Sit down. Click, click, pop 2,3,4 and they were off. So quick I didn't get a chance to ask if I could keep them. Don't know what I'd done with them but I would have brought them home. I'm quite happy with th...
