Your teeth seem to be tilted outwards. Mine are straight. Thanks for the activator I had as a kid. unfortunately it did not correct my bite :(.

Helou! Chris; your story sounds quite encouraging, but i guess our starting points are different. I don't have too much crowing, just one lower front teeth is a bit behind. I had activator when i was a kid, and it straightened my teeth. But it did not fix my bite. I think, too, that it would be craz...

I would be extremely happy if somebody would offer me headgear+braces option. My overjet is 5 mm and I have deep bite as well. First ortho told me that basically no good results won't be gained without surgery. My overbite was corrected little bit when i was a kid. I did not have any problems with m...

I have read about Herbst appliances. One patient in another forum had it instead of surgery. It seemed that the result can last around 5 years after that it is time for surgery for her in the worst case. Second one got her bite corrected fully. And she used it only three months! I guess it depends h...

Chris: I was told that my overbite would stay the same. He could move my front lower teeth further, so my bite would not disturb me. In order to get overbite smaller two premolars should be removed. But then my front upper teeht would be tilted backwards. Have you had any success with elastics? I am...

I had some crossbite fixed when i was 12 years old. I needed night time retainer only for 6 months. And the teeth have stayed in their new places. But i guess they are blocked by my bite to their positions.

I was quite suprised to hear that some people have to use them forever...

who will have retainers forever?

If I get my teeth fixed, I would need to have retainers first 24/7 and then every night rest of my life :(

Does somebody have this kind situation and what do you think about it?

They look quite bad and I see that surgery is a must. On the other hand, I have seen teeth fixed with braces, which look worse tha...
