I didn't need spacers between my molars either because my teeth have the tiniest bit of room between them. I can't see it but my ortho said not to worry.

Could you try rescheduling your ortho appointment for AFTER your cleaning? Then your teeth would be all clean before the braces went on and you wouldn't have to worry about pain at all. I'm having 2 teeth pulled but not because I'm getting braces. Rather the braces are the answer to the problem of the missing teeth. Well that and a bunch of other problems.

I had my wisdon teeth pulled years ago when they were impacted so I don't have that worry now.

I go in Monday for "banding" which I was told means all of my braces go on. I was a little confused by this as well.

I think I'm going to just wait and see on this one. If my mouth is just too sore the day before I'll call my dentist and reschedule.
I think that's my best option at this point.

My Ortho has two offices, a main one that's open Mon, Thurs and Fri. the other office which is the one that I go to is only open on Tues. My regular dentist is the one with the wonky hours, isn't open on Fri and only open until 4:30 Monday, Tuesday and Weds. Thursdays they close at 7pm. It's almost ...
