I went in about a week ago and they put a small bend in my wire to pull my canine down so it's even with the other. This bend is put there for an entirely different reason. Some orthodontists (mine included) will put bends in the wire to level teeth rather than moving brackets throughout treatment....

Yep, it's normal for teeth to loosen. The ligaments reform to allow the tooth to move. Without looseness, there can't be movement. I'll bet it is just referred pain? Or perhaps the other teeth being pulled back into alignment is pushing on those teeth as a set causing the pain. Either way, give your ortho a call and ask him/her what's going on. Take something for the pain if you need to. Hopefully it will settle down by Monday ...

I had Opals. They really are significantly different in appearence. Here's a picture of them in my mouth. Only 2 people on Arch Wired in the past 4 years have had them, not sure they are used much in the US...or anywhere for that matter. Heck, I don't know if my ortho still uses them... They held th...
